Your Questions Answered Honestly
Are parents health tested?
Health and tempremant are the most important thing to me in my breeding programme. This should come before any colour choice.
I have tested all of my dogs for the following hereditary diseases:
Dry Eye, Curly Coat, Episodic Falling
None of my dogs carry the above, therefore I can guarantee your puppy will be completely free of these and cannot pass on the unhealthy gene.
All of my dogs are also BVA eye tested.
I can guarantee that both parents will hold a clear eye certificate. I will not breed a dog with a failed eye test.
I also carry out the following tests which are not recomended by the kennel club but I hold the information as knowledge is everything in this breed, Dm, MMVD/Nebl3 and MCADD.
When are puppies ready?
Puppies are generally vet checked at 8 weeks and depending on how they have developed can go to their new homes shorty after. No puppies can leave early and its generally closer to 9 weeks.
Do you export puppies?
Yes I currently have puppies in Majorca, Italy Dubai and Germany.
Please note there are vaccines and paper work that will be required for these pups and they will have to stay with me longer.
There is an additional cost for exporting.
Which vaccines do you use?
I currently vaccinate all my pups and dogs with the dhp vaccine.
I no longer use any lepto (2 or 4).
This is because I have lost a 10 week old pup to lepto 4 and seen the side effects first hand.
Puppies are vaccinated with dhp at approx. 8 weeks but can be as late as as depending on their development.
